Dumbo Gets Mad - Indian food live@Rubik Summer Festival III ed. in Sudestudio

Dumbo Gets Mad - Indian food live@Sudestudio

Dumbo Gets Mad emerged in the summer of 2010 in Northern Italy and has now migrated to Los Angeles. His initial aim was to lay down some marvelous music in an organic manner, open to whatever direction the tunes took during the recording session. The first published track was Plumy Tale, which received positive reviews from a number of music blogs. Dumbo then decided to work on a debut album with an express goal and spirit in mind: “No matter what it sounded like, it had to be psychedelic!” The result is Elephants at The Door. The album was recorded sans fancy technology, using old-fashioned equipment like analog synthetizers and tape machines—and lots of good vibes.

Many Loves Ska-Jazz is a musical project founded in 2013 in Lecce, Italy. Many Loves Ska-Jazz is the meeting point and hybridization of the "many loves" and musical languages and they create a rich and varied organic sound, all "made in Salento." This ambitious orchestral project wants to revive the atmosphere of '60s Jamaican music, opening them up for scenarios of strong contamination from jazz, often veering towards funk, dixieland, and tropical music, with references to the great Italian soundtrack composers.
Fuzzy waves

Sadier's third solo album smoothly continues her arc as an artist over the past three decades; like 2012's Silencio and 2010's The Trip before it, Something Shines is a satellite orbiting the Stereolab home world. Quantum Soup remixes the same elements she's been surrounded with for three decades: sonar synths, chanson delight, Francoise Hardy-through-a-CB vocals. But here she impishly dissolves the glue that holds them together, until the song fades into a wash of spacious chaos. It's the inverse of a noise breakdown, and when it all comes back together at the end, it feels less like a reinvention than a reaffirmation. During Stereolab's prime in the 1990s, Sadier was part of one of the most exciting ensembles in music, genre notwithstanding. She doesn't fight that overshadowing fact, but she doesn't let it slip by unchallenged, either.
Release from the centre of your heart

Legao is the second solo album from Kings of Convenience and The Whitest Boy Alive singer Erlend Øye, recorded in Reykjavík with Hjàlmar, a reggae group from Iceland, which was anticipated by the videoclip for the single Garota shot in Seoul. The record was released by the label Bubbles Records on 3 October 2014. The album peaked at #51 in Germany, #72 in Switzerland, and #144 in Belgium.
Bad Guy Now

Folk Wisdom, the new electronic sub-label of Interbang Records, and Bad Panda Records are pleased to announce the release of "Ages," the second album by Girl With The Gun.

It has been six years since Andrea Mangia's last solo effort as Populous, but the Italian producer has kept busy, forming Life and Limb and exploring musical styles from around the globe. That interest manifests itself in his new Populous album Night Safari, which finds Mangia merging African polyrhythms and tropical flourishes with his style of jittery electronic music. It's a premise that could have been a mess the word "exotic" pops up in press materials, rarely a good look but Mangia elevates the concept by featuring actual samples of these global styles, while also giving artists from those countries time in the spotlight.
Tokyo's Cuushe sings on "Fall", which Mangia has described as "a pagoda in a forest." His music is spacious, save for a few clattering, pace-quickening interludes. But "Fall" is built for Cuushe's voice, which floats through the ambient passages, highlighting her skill at stretching out syllables into layers all their own. And when the beat picks up, her voice snaps along.
Fall (feat. Cuushe)

A great record from a most talented Italian producer, even if he doesn't sound italian at all.We really enjoyed working at this, warmly recommended!
